North
Wales and the Borders
Step back into a
period when speed was classed as hours per mile – rather than the other
way around – cruising along a waterway that allows you to breathe the
fresh, clean air that’s freely available outside our towns and cities.
Built about two
centuries ago, the Llangollen canal provides you with the tranquillity
and grace that many of us miss in our day to day lives, giving you the
time to savour the beautiful countryside and all of its fine fayre as
you speed along at little more than walking pace.
You’ll share the
peaceful world of moorhens, coots, grebes and herons as well as the
amazing kingfisher, all of whom have made the canal their home. You’ll
travel when you want to and stop and tie up when the mood takes you,
giving you an unparalleled freedom to explore gardens, parks and country
houses as and when you feel inclined.
